There is nothing inherently wrong with asking for sales, as long as you ask nicely. This is perfectly acceptable and you never know. After all, the point of the sales people is to make the sale! Many times, you may get a special price even though it was not marked on the product, or you could be shown an alternative equally good product which is on sale.
